Nicholas Pearson is author of the upcoming book Crystal Teachings: The Mystery Teachings of the Mineral Kingdom. He has devoted twenty years to his work with rocks and minerals, and weaves together the fields of mineral science with spirituality and healing in the art of ethnogeology. Nicholas strives to bridge the human and mineral kingdoms by studying the relationships between the two. His experience in the field includes work as docent and collections specialist of a mineral and earth-science museum, as well as working hands-on with crystals for healing. He teaches innovative workshops that enable participants to understand what the mineral kingdom offers from all aspects.
Nicholas is the caretaker of four ancient crystals skulls, one from Nepal, a small skull carved of serpentine from Mexico, and two from Mongolia. His research and study with the skulls has afforded the opportunity to study several notable skulls up-close, as well as collaborating with many other members of the community. Nicholas unites spirit and science together to better examine the function and purpose fulfilled by the crystal skulls.
The forthcoming title on crystals encompasses a broad range of applications of the mineral kingdom. The target of this work is to deepen the understanding of spiritual work with crystals and gemstones by examining the stones at the archetypal level. Each chapter is dedicated to a comprehensive study of a gemstone revered universally throughout human history, and the history, science, and lore of each stone is combined in a unique perspective on co-creating with crystals. Rather than providing information in a context of which stone heals which ailment, Crystal Teachings seeks to empower the reader to become acquainted with crystals on more than just a cursory level. The allure of gemstones and crystals has pervaded the entirety of human history, and science is only now unlocking the secrets of how crystals can have their effects upon us. In light of this, Nicholas has spent a significant amount of time studying neolithic jades from Asia, as well as jade from other cultures, both modern and ancient. The allure of this heavenly gemstone is thoroughly detailed in his book, as are several other noteworthy gemstones.
In addition to working with gemstones, Nicholas is a Reiki master/teacher. He has studied in North America and in Japan, and his focus is on the return to the roots of Reiki. Nicholas strives to inspire students to engage the five principles of Reiki as tools for navigating through life. Currently, he resides and practices in Central Florida with his partner, and he is available for workshops worldwide. You can discover more about Nicholas, his work, and his upcoming book on his “Mustang: Himalayan Crystal Skull” Facebook page or you can email him directly with questions regarding our program spiritual activities at silicadreams@gmail.com

Description of workshops and group meditations:

Nicholas will provide opportunities for the attendees to work closely with four ancient crystal skulls. The Meditations and workshops will be inspired by the energies of our surroundings and the spiritual needs of the attendees. They will be transformational and empowering for all involved. Workshops combine the history, science, and culture of the crystal skulls with their spiritual abilities as tools of change and healing. Nicholas seeks to bridge science and spirituality with practical information and real-world applications of crystals
combining the applications of the ancient crystal skulls as a medium for initiating healing and growth with the therapeutic applications of Reiki and crystal healing.

Presenting the crystal skulls.

Nicholas is currently the caretaker of four ancestral crystal skulls, ranging from several hundred to almost two thousand years old. Each of them has been a sacred tool for various rituals around the world, and their histories are still being uncovered. Below you will find a brief introduction to each of them.

Mustang: Himalayan Quartz Skull
The first ancient crystal skull that came to Nicholas was presented to him while he was journeying to the land of the rising sun in 2009. While in Japan, Nicholas was able to connect deeply with the origins of Reiki Ryoho, a healing system that originated in the early twentieth century, and Mustang served as focal point for much of the healing that occurred on his travels.
Mustang is named after the region of Nepal from which he comes. His name is pronounced “moose-tong,” and his homeland is sometimes referred to as “the Tibet outside of Tibet.” This crystal skull was carved by the Newar, a nomadic race who are responsible for much of the art and iconography of the countries of the Himalayas. The quartz appears to have been mined at Ganesh Himal, and Mustang weighs around six pounds. He has been in consistent ritual use for over a millennium, and several authorities believe Mustang to be approximately 1500 years old.
Mustang’s focus has been on healing. In his homeland, he was at the center of sacred rites of a tantric nature. It is likely that this holy tool facilitated ceremonies for healing, birth, death, and blessings of homes. Mustang is also an anchor of powerful light energies, and he has been taken to several vortexes and holy places in Japan and the US.

Avatar and Bennu: Mongolian Calcite Skulls
These two skulls were brought to the US by the renowned Dr. Frank Loo. They were in the private collection of friends and colleagues of Dr. Loo, and they represent a small fraction of the skulls that have been found in Mongolia. Avatar appears to be the older of the two skulls, and evidence suggests that these types of crystal skulls were carved for generations among the people who worked with them. They are likely around 700-800 years old, if not older. Nicholas acquired these two stone beings in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
The exaggerated eyes and other unique features of these skulls connect them to stellar and cosmic energies. They are carved from golden calcite, a dynamic healing stone capable of shifting our energies for health and personal transformation. These two skulls are a pair who work together for activation the consciousness and awakening the latent wisdom and encoding of our multidimensional selves. They are also facilitators of shamanic journeying, helping to recover lost pieces of the soul in order to return to a state of perfection and wholeness.

Mezcala Skull Amulet
Although this skull is small, it is an artifact from the Mezcala culture, which once occupied what is now Southwest Mexico. It was found in the state of Guerrero and was among many Pre-Columbian artifacts in an extensive collection of Central and South American art. It is carved from dark green serpentine and is pierced with a whole through the top to have been worn as a talisman or amulet, possibly during ritual or funerary use.
This crystal skull is still unnamed; Nicholas only recently welcomed it into the circle of skulls with which he works. Skulls from Mesoamerican cultures that are carve with eyes, such as this one, were sometimes meant to watch for the soul as one journeyed into the afterlife. It is possible that it once accompanied the deceased to the other side. Serpentine is an excellent stone for healing, and this skull has a very powerful presence for its size.
